After Kim Taehyung, or V, posted a brief but powerful note on Weverse, taking it as a signal of a possible trip to India, the Indian BTS fans have got really excited.
V talked about Indian fans during a live stream on December 27, and he said, “Namaste, Indian ARMYs. See you next year.” Although he did not specify any tour dates or cities, the welcoming gesture went viral immediately, and the fans thought of it as a clue that India could be on BTS’s world tour map for 2026.
Fans reacted very quickly. The video clips of V’s live session were shared online very quickly and increased the excitement of the fans who have been waiting for an official visit by the K-pop group of seven members. Indian ARMYs have been supporting BTS for years by following their music, streaming songs, learning lyrics, and attending online events, while the members went through their mandatory military service. With Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook's military service ending in June 2025, the group tour for next year is now the most likely scenario.
Fans are very enthusiastic but at the same time, they are very hope-full. No formal announcements about an Indian tour have been made so far, but fans are already picturing concerts in the likes of Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. For many, V's “Namaste” was like a recognition of their loyalty and patience.
BTS rose to fame in 2010 under the label Big Hit Music, now HYBE Corporation, and has become a worldwide sensation. Their impact on music, culture, and fandom is beyond regions, as they have supporters even in the most unexpected countries. V’s quick greeting has, in a way, reaffirmed the bond Indian fans feel with the group.
At the moment, the excitement keeps on growing. The Indian ARMYs are playing V's message again and again, posting their reactions on social media, and still wishing for the year 2026 to be the one when BTS will finally come live to India, thus, the group's performances will be brought to a local stage which has been waiting for a long time.
